Each year the MCSLHE recognizes outstanding individuals and programs in its member institutions that demonstrate excellence in the field of service-learning and within the MCSLHE goals and mission. We cannot do so without nominations. Please consider submitting nominations for one or more of the following awards.

Please see guidelines to nominate an individual or program, below.

Guidelines to nominate an individual or program

• Complete a nomination letter that outlines why this individual or program should be recognized, and how they have met the award requirements. (Please specify which award the nomination is for and include your name and contact information.)

• Collect two further letters of recommendation for each nomination.

• Deliver the nomination packet (nomination letter and both recommendation letters) to your campus MCSLHE representative. Letters may be emailed to meet the deadline but original signed copies (preferably on letterhead stationery) must also be received by the Awards Committee before a nomination is considered "officially" submitted.

• Consortium representatives are responsible for selecting one institutional nomination per award and sending the packet(s) by e-mail to Jean Karlen (402-375-7042, jekarle1@wsc.edu) or by US Mail to:
                                     Jean Karlen
                                     Wayne State College
                                     Wayne, NE 68787

Upon review of all the nominations, the Awards Committee may recommend that a particular nomination be shifted to another awards category.  In that event, the nominator will be contacted for approval before such action is taken. Depending on nominations, awards may not be given in every category every year.

NOMINATIONS MUST BE RECEIVED BY SEPTEMBER 8, 2008
